The Alden House is an inviting, comfortable inn located in the heart of Penobscot Bay. Built in 1840 by Hiram Alden, the inn features classic architecture and expansive garden areas in a convenient in-town location. The Alden House Inn offers easy access to all points of interest along Penobscot Bay, Acadia National Park, Maine’s Mid-Coast region - not to mention the City of Belfast itself, with its eclectic array of shops, cultural opportunities, and beautiful shoreline. Belfast has long held a reputation as a cultural destination. Main Street boasts several new shops and restaurants and we now have a world-class shipyard. There’s never been a better time to visit!
The Inn has recently changed ownership; new innkeepers Lexa and Nat Clifford are excited to take on stewardship of this wonderful home and to welcome you to Belfast, Maine. We have now closed for the 2017 season. We will reopen for the 2018 season in late spring. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 207.218.1110. We look forward to hearing from you.
